The Affording Hope Project presents Leaps and Bounds, a one woman show which explores the environmental costs of our economic system. Developed and performed by Tevyn East, this show has been shared with more than 100 communities in over 50 cities across the country. Recently adapted into a film, Leaps and Bounds continues to inspire individuals and communities to consider their response to the ecological and economic crises now upon us.
Using a number of creative tools including storytelling, song, poetry, prayer, movement, and music, this work of theater sheds light on the personal transformation that must accompany our cultural transformation and awakens the imagination to a new way of living with and relating to Earth. Leaps and Bounds embodies an adventure both visceral and thought-provoking, asking for a reckoning and a reclaiming of the values that promote human well-being and ecological health.
The Affording Hope Project is a theatrical production company that uses art to educate, allows symbols to speak, and invites all to creatively embody an alternative way of sufficiency and solidarity.
